Boudhanath:

One of the holiest Hindu-Buddhist religious stupa is situated 11 km north-east of Kathmandu. The Buddhist stupa of Boudha is the largest spherical stupa of Nepal which shelters 50 monasteries around it. The place is itself a holy place where numerous Hindus, Buddhist and Tibetan Buddhist offer the worship and prayer. During morning, day and evening time, Boudha is full of devotees rolling the prayer wheels and chanting Buddhist hymn. The place remains aesthetic and rejuvenating during the greatest festival Buddha Jayanti. The four eyes of Buddha on four sides spread wisdom, peace and harmony in the world; so don’t miss the chance to get blessed.

Pashupatinath:

Pashupatinath temple is the oldest and the most sacred Hindu temple of lord Shiva situated on the bank of Bagmati River, Kathmandu. This temple was enlisted in the UNESCO world heritage site’s list in 1979 A.D. due to its overwhelming architectural design and religious significance. This temple is built in the Nepalese pagoda style with golden roof whose four doors are carved with silver. There are many mythical legendary sayings about this temple. Pashupatinath temple is the main God of Hindus therefore non-Hindus are restricted to enter inside this temple; however visitors are permitted to capture the glimpse of cremation and ceremonial rituals from east bank of Bagmati River.

Bhaktapur:

The city of devotees, Bhaktapur, is one of the oldest, sophisticated, traditional and culturally rich cities of Nepal. Among three major cities of Nepal: Katmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur, it is the most traditional and ancient newari city with many historical palaces, museums and temples. Bhaktapur is untouched and unaffected by modernization and urbanization. The old traditional style houses; the corns’ husk, garlic braids and chili peeper hanging on the windows; people attire in newari Haku Patasi and gossiping with one another in Pati, sattal (public shelters); drying the crops and winnowing them on the main walking street resemble the existence of traditional lifestyle of Bhaktapur in modern society.
